Rosebank provides a comprehensive approach to Careers Education delivered on an individual and group basis.
- Regular Careers lessons help students identify their skills, interests and abilities, focusing on their transition into post-secondary education and work.
- Students learn transferable skills including decision making, finding employment, writing a resume/cover letter and job interviews.
- All students complete at least one week of work experience in Year 10.
- The Careers team offer assistance with subject selection for all students.
- Student lunchtime presentations, Year Group meetings and Parent Careers presentations help guide students in making decisions for the next step in their journey.
- All students have access to Careers resources on the Student Portal and in the College Newsletter with information including job opportunities, Tertiary education application information, Open Days, scholarships and cadetships.
- Year 11 and Year 12 students are invited to attend presentations at the College featuring guest speakers from universities, TAFE colleges, private providers and industry.
- Students attend an excursion to the local Careers Market Day and participate in interviews with the College Careers Advisor.
- Vocational Education and Training (VET) is offered at Rosebank including Business Services, Hospitality, and Information & Digitial Technology.
- TAFE-delivered Vocational Education and Training (TVET) are offered off-site.
- Rosebank has partnerships with Universities offering short courses, guest speakers, early entry programs, school recommendation scheme and a Macquarie University excursion.
