Rosebank provides a comprehensive approach to Careers Education delivered on an individual and group basis.

  • Regular Careers lessons help students identify their skills, interests and abilities, focusing on their transition into post-secondary education and work. 
  • Students learn transferable skills including decision making, finding employment, writing a resume/cover letter and job interviews.
  • All students complete at least one week of work experience in Year 10.
  • The Careers team offer assistance with subject selection for all students.
  • Student lunchtime presentations, Year Group meetings and Parent Careers presentations help guide students in making decisions for the next step in their journey.
  • All students have access to Careers resources on the Student Portal and in the College Newsletter with information including job opportunities, Tertiary education application information, Open Days, scholarships and cadetships. 
  • Year 11 and Year 12 students are invited to attend presentations at the College featuring guest speakers from universities, TAFE colleges, private providers and industry.
  • Students attend an excursion to the local Careers Market Day and participate in interviews with the College Careers Advisor.
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET) is offered at Rosebank including Business Services, Hospitality, and Information & Digitial Technology.
  • TAFE-delivered Vocational Education and Training (TVET) are offered off-site.
  • Rosebank has partnerships with Universities offering short courses, guest speakers, early entry programs, school recommendation scheme and a Macquarie University excursion.
